Nice work! 
I've downloaded a copy of YACS to toy with it again. Since I last posted here I've moved to France, finished college, and played with WordPress and the newly GPLed (free license) TextPattern. As blogging content management systems they're both great. YACS seems to have far more though in the way of "community features" though.
Anyhow, I'm going to try it out again, and if I figure out anything that could be of help I'll post it here in the coming days and weeks (modules, templates, hacks).
