Yes, your help would be very appreciated, indeed! To translate YACS you will have to edit every script, and to add German strings to existing English and French strings.
YACS is currently made of +320 scripts. Hopefully your work can be progressive. Each time I would receive a translated script from you, I would add your name in the list of YACS authors for this script, and integrate the updated script to YACS core.
At some point we will add officially German as a language fully supported by YACS, and make it a selectable language from the configuration panel.
