The idea to link people is great. MySpace, like LinkedIn, is promoting a form of very large social networking.
YACS communities, on the other hand, are made of people that interact directly. For example, you and your tribe could create either an entire web site, or just a section at an existing YACS site, and put your blogs there.
In the future it is pretty sure that some features that exist in MySpace will be implemented in YACS. The very first one could be the creation of a buddy list, to enable easy navigation from one profile to others.
