Yes. If you install YACS under /yacs/, you can duplicate the main file /yacs/index.php at / as well. In this case YACS will manage your home page, even if files stay neatly organized below one single directory.

The only trick is to enable the future update of this index page. In the configuration panel for skins, click on the checkbox to signal the duplication of the index page. If a new /yacs/index.php file is released it will be copied at both levels (/ and /yacs).
