However, editors have a tendency to consider that they will receive alerts automatically, and they don't always think to update their watch list for sections that they manage. Starting with version 8.1, YACS updates the watch list when a member is assigned to a section, or when it is unassigned, as expected. Of course, editors can still remove a section from their watch list if they wish.
