How does YACS compare to Wiki? -  The first ever wiki site was created for the Portland Pattern Repository in 1995. That site now hosts tens of thousands of pages. According to the What is Wiki? page, Wiki is the simplest online database that could possibly work. Wiki is a piece of server software that allows users to freely create and edit Web page content using any Web browser. Wiki supports hyperlinks and has a simple text syntax for creating new pages and crosslinks between internal pages on the fly. YACS, like Wiki, has been created to let people express themselves on the web. Therefore both systems have a lot in common. However, YACS architecture differs significantly from a Wiki system. »

How to use phpDoc to document software modules? -  At YetAnotherCommunitySystem we have adopted phpDoc from the beginning as the tool of choice for software documentation. You can see the result at the scripts index. Each time the set of reference scripts is rebuilt (scripts/build.php) the entire phpDoc documentation is rebuilt as well. To achieve this, every running script is parsed and analyzed. Comments are filtered and combined in order to provide following items: - the index page itself, at index.php - the to-do list, at todo - the authors page, at authors - the testers page, at testers - the license page, at licenses The last four links are available at the top of the index page for scripts. »
