I can translate to brazilian portuguese if portuguese is of your interest. I'd like to join the community team.

Thanks.

Hello Fabiana.

Yes, your help would be much appreciated, indeed. The translation of YACS requires to edit every script file, and to add strings in your language.

You can start with a couple of scripts, or conside the whole set of YACS core script. Each time you will send me a translated script I will add your name to the list of (not-yet famous) authors...

What do you think?

I'm in. How should we do it? Will you send me instructs and the material by mail and then I send you a response with the material already translated? It's fine to me.

Fabiana: The most straightforward approach is to download the YACS archive, and to edit all .php files. Each time you will finish a file, please send it back to me by e-mail, at bernard.paques@bigfoot.com and I will include it in the next version.

At some point, when enough files will be translated, we will declare your language to be officially supported by YACS.

Thank you very much for your contributions. May i suggest you to start with the top index.php file, which is also the home page of the server?

See you...

Fabiana, the translation engine in YACS is based on ISO 2-letter codes. For Brasil it is br where for Portugal this is pt.

Look at How to translation? to better understand what to do.

Also, since languages in Brasil and in Portugal are quite close, and since I have no other translator available for portuguese, I guess the best approach is to duplicate strings for both. This could be changed afterwards anyway.

Bernard, That's ok. If I get some doubt during the translation I'll surelly ask you what to do. I'm just finishing a freelance job today and later I'll start doing it. Thanks for the help. Fabiana
