CHMOD?
Hi,
could someone tell me exactly what directories and files i must CHMOD?
I installed YACS but when i start setup i get a message about '...cannot write to files...blabla'.

| Bernard from nearby-an-airport Associate, 6796 posts | Sk2k: YACS attempts to write to a number of configuration files. Also, to benefit from automatic updates, YACS may have to write virtually to any file. The most straightforward solution is to chmod 777 the installation directory of YACS. In some cases 755 is enough. Some users have also played with groups and with chown. Each time, the goal is to have YACS able to write in /yacs and below.If you find a solution to your issue do not hesitate to report here on comands that worked for you. I will probably use such material in the future to update the manual. |
