I like YACS, but I'd like a to have several forum categories, like phpBB. Is there a way to do this, I havn't worked it out...

Xirius, Good8: The next version of YACS, due this week-end, will have a Content Assistant to help create discussion boards, among other things. Keep posted!

Ok, now that the version 5.5 has been released, you can test it and provide your feed-back...

Good8: What's new in version 5.5 is the assistant that help to create several discussion boards.

Actually each discussion board is a section on its own, and is listed among other sections at the site map.

Please also note that the structure of sections is flat at the moment.

If you want to classify things and to create a hierarchy of things please use categories.

Basically:
  • each article/topic/thread is anchored to one section
  • each article/topic/thread may be referenced in 0 to many categories
