Publishing error
from latest build
Bernard,
I've installed the lasted build for the site and almost everything seems to beworking except when I get to the final point of publishing an article I receive this error:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected ';' in /home/u3/xxxxxxxxx/html/articles/publish.php on line 85
Do you know where I could have went wrong?

Bernard: It turns out my FTP connection at work is unstable and for every single folder of my YACS distribution that I posted it was dropping at least one file. So I uploaded YACS one folder at a time, and caught the errors as they happenned... and of course now it works. Tim P.S. Also the reason I asked about your day job is because I was wondering what kind of resources (ie connections) you might have at your disposal to help with your YACS work. Personally I'm a marketing manager of web strategies for a hardware company. We have several sites as part our web properties, one of them getting 8 million page views a month and the smallest geting about 250,000. I would like to send you privately a few suggestions that might be helpful for promoting your YACS efforts but its good if I know what kind of budget (if any) and time and connections you might have to use. Tech Colosseum for me is my first site that I'm trying to do completely on my own in terms of resources and I'm lucky to have some connections to help me promote, design and even create content. Because I appreciate your good and practical support, I'd like to be able to offer you some in return. |

" I was wondering what kind of resources (ie connections) you might have at your disposal to help with your YACS work. " The main YACS server is hosted by OVH, a very successful French ISP. They have plenty of bandwidth to the Internet, I can tell you... " I would like to send you privately a few suggestions that might be helpful for promoting your YACS efforts " Please do! I have absolutely no skill in marketing, and any help in this field is definitely much appreciated. |
