Site email not working [Solved]
php is sending mail. (verified with a very simple mailtest.php script)
this is definitely either a problem in my settings or with the code.

Issue description
Since I didn't change any of my settings, I have to beleive it's in the code.
I did go back a version and put /user/mail.php from the 8.1 site to see if that would work, but it didn't have any effect.
Obviously, I'm willing to upgrade from the alpha version. I'm currently running: 8.2alpha25
Notifications, emails from the user profile and as far as I know, all emails are disabled ont he site right now.
To verify: it php is sending, in the user control panel is is defaulting to the php.ini file, which currently works. The Global wwitch is set to "Use below parameters to handle electronic mail messages." and the stmp is blank (for php.ini)
I turned on the debug.txt in temporary, and the test messages from the user profile are appearing there. So are the messages generated by the comment script. The only thing that isnt' happening is that the mail isnt' being sent. According to support on my site it is never getting to sendmail at all, it isn't a problem with sendmail (which they checked and was wondering) it isn't a problem with php configs, which we verified as working.
This is a fairly crippling problem, so any thougths would be much appreciated.
Thanks,Stephan

AnsteyER![]() Member 274 posts registered on Jan. 22 2007 | I replaced the 8.2 'shared/mailer.php' with the one from 8.1 beta and now my site is sending mail..but with a bad header. (the return to is bad) |
AnsteyER![]() Member 274 posts registered on Jan. 22 2007 | To verify, I also tried the 8.2 script with the cron.php and without it. It did not work either way. the 8.1 script does work... but obviously doesn't do the asynchronous stuff to prevent server flooding. |
