A few questions
After succesfully installing YACS I have some questions..
I couldnt find any documentation on you website about this, or in the forum...
1. I have been looking all around the YACS setup and control panel for a way to remove or change the 'Welcome! You have successfully installed YACS....etc' .. where do I do that. It doesnt seem obvious to me...
2. You mention that we / I can feel free to translate to our language. Id really like to do that, but how/where do I do it?
In addition I would like to say that YACS really rocks and gives a lot of possibilities, maybe more than I will ever need. But i had a sizzle, when I saw how easy it was to upload images to articles, creasting thumbs, and customize the setup... Thank you for a very customizable and well documented script.
One last thing:
The forums are working, but I think they are hard to look at, since there are no categories. That quickly makes a mess of topics. Are you considering making an option for categories?

To change it, authenticate as an associate and go to the Site Map. Look at the special section for Covers. The first article listed here is the one that will appear at the home page. You are right. At the moment this site features a single discussion board that has been named Forum. As each day adds new adopters to YACS  the rate of posted topics is likely to increase. At some point I will probably split the current forum into several dedicated discussion boards. For example, one could be dedicated to installation issues, another one to the templating system, etc.Also, any posted article, including topics in discussion boards, can be linked to several categories. Therefore the Categories Tree also applies to discussions. Thank you very much for your interest in YACS, and for your kind comments on its usability. |
