Incremental Upgrades

Am I doing this auto-upgrade thing right?
Hi Yacs guys, I installed 7.10 on my server a couple of months ago....it has been fantastic, even with my lack of tech skills..........

I have been attempting to use the incremental upgrade feature in the control panel.

This is what I have done:

A) Clicked: control panel- upgrade then at Scripts page

A) clicked "update scripts"

then at Stage updated Scripts page

A) clicked "yes, I want to stage files from www.yetanothercommunitysystem.com"

then

my screen goes blank and says "done" at the bottom of my Firefox browser.

Then

The screens stays blank, I close my browser, log back in my YACS site and click "control panel" and then "extensions" and I see some changes YACS guys, am I doing this correctly??

I would like to be able to use some of the new features like "page templates" and "YACS chat"..but I dont see them after I try the incremental upgrade.

Thanks and with respect, Steve (nj)

Because we are currently moving the server to another Internet service provider, you are advised to upload the full .tgz archive into the inbox/yacs directory of your server, and to use as a local reference for the upgrade. This is the recommended method for any significant upgrade anyway.
