Problem with iso-8859-7 [Greek lang]
my greek characters not shown correctly..
i installed this wonderful app but when i was tryied to write in Greek my text was tranlated in 
chars

Skara, at the moment YACS translates everything to ISO-8859-1 internally, which may explain your issue with ISO-8859-7. I was intended to support utf-8 everywhere. Do you know if your web tools would be able to support UTF-8 instead of ISO-8859-7? If the answer is yes, then I would accelerate the full support of UTF-8 for the back-end as well. If the answer is no, I do not know yet what I'd do... In all cases, and whatever your answer will be, it will take some time anyway. Sorry for that... |

The trick here is that both PHP and MySQL support ISO-8859-1 implicitly. If you want to depart from that you have to do it explicitly, and this is a lot of work because of all the functions that handle some text... Actually what I am intended to do is to at least save all of your unicode input into the database, to avoid scrambling everything. This should be enough to render pages correctly. You can expect this to be posted into the next version within the next two weeks. Cheers, Bernard |

Skara, YACS has been updated to preserve Unicode characters. Would you like to visit the index page for scripts, and to test the last archive, at index.php? If it works correctly I will make it the official monthly release. Thank you for your next feed-back... |
