Fulltext in other languages

Hello, YACS is really great product, I totally love it! But I cannot use it because of lack of full-text search functionality. I tried to built a site in Russian, and found out that search did not work at all. As I understand, the reason is here: YACS preserves Unicode If I am right, MySQL cannot correctly index records like "&8364;&8364;" so fulltext search does not work when I look for "мама"... Am I right? If yes, is there any workaround?

You will be happy with the next release, that uses UTF-8 to save records in the database where applicable.

This means that full-text search requests works quite well with this new version. You will find more information on this feature in the transcript of a recent chat on the 7.10 release.
