digg in YACS?

Well, actually the purpose is not to reproduce all nice features that Digg has. For a starting point, YACS is able to order pages at the front page, or in any section, according to ratings given by community members.

The very first intent is to support the open selection of important features at the development backlog. Every person interested in YACS will be entitled to rate high all features he is interested in. And developers are encouraged to pick up requests listed at the top of the backlog, to ensure proper alignment with community wishes.

Very usefull, works perfect (tested on Yacs.info).

Thanks.

Is there something wrong with Digg ? Take a look at The development backlog : Vote for new features, the first item has no vote and the second has one vote. It looks to be sorted by publication date ... instead of vote

What is the option "articles_by_vote" means when you select "Digg" for article ? Is this not the same thing ?

I don't understand why do we have Digg for the articles of the index page, and "articles_by_rating" in the render options, and "with_rating" and "articles_by_rating" in the content options.

When you select Digg, that does not mean that you want everything sorted by rating anywhere for this section ?

Maybe it is just old options now deprecated ?

The list is cut every 20 articles. Why is the first article of the next list still bordered ? It looks to be rated as the fisrt but it is not.

Suggestion: in the list of articles, is it possible (or interresting) to have the number of the position on the left of the title of each article ?

Digg content option needs to put manualy "with_rating" option for the section. If you forget it, you have an error message that you are not allowed to use this function (for all, associates included).

It happened on Yacs Info, and every contributor thought that it was a 7.5a13 bug but it's not. It was working good before i remove "with_rating", thinking that it was included in the Digg option.

I think that it could be nice if this option "with_rating" could be set automaticaly when you select Digg.
  • Now i understand why we have all these options (for other rendering).
  • For my first post here, the Development Backlog do not show the order by vote because "articles_by_publication" is set instead of "articles_by_rating".
