AJAX ?

Hi,

Has anyone used AJAX yet, I've done a small amount (xml data binding to html tables), but a project I have to help with early next year requires me to use ajax alot.

Has anyone got experience of using AJAX librarys that are about and is there any plans for YACS to use AJAX at all ?

Yes, we will use AJAX in 2007, that's pretty sure. I have already started to lok at a couple of available libraries, but no final choice yet. Found a lot of interest into jQuery, if you want to play with something.

Bernard:

Thanks, I will have a play with that.

Edit: I forgot to say, I have heard about script.aculo.us , Prototype is the base framework its based on which is supposedly well written, but ive not looked for myself yet.

No practical experience myself, but here is a recommendation from "Ajax" by Nicholas Zakas et al., published by First Interactive :

-  JPSpan to work with PHP

-  DWR to work with Java

-  Ajax.NET to work with any .NET language

I also have references to quite a few others, but, as I said, no practical experience myself yet. I will gladly post them here if you wish, but you might already have a long list of untested libs and I do not wish to contribute to the information overload.
