Posting a draft comment
How to publish a draft comment
Problem has been recordedIssue description
I have just written a post on the English Forum and checked the box indicating it was a draft, because I wanted to check a few thing and add pictures.
Once I had done this, I was ready to publish the post but could find any way to do it.
Am I missing something ? Maybe only associates or editors can publish ? Will this post be published instantly if I don't check the "draft" box ?

So, I guess I should be able to publish my own draft post when I am ready. Is this an inconsistency or something done on purpose ? Or, again, I might have missed something. I am still new to this incredible software and it has so many features, options, ways to do things, possibilities... One can get easily lost, but will never go unsatisfied, it seems. |

In an ordinary section, without this option, a post would have been saved as draft, and some associate or editor would have to publish it explicitly.

| Lasares from L'Île-Bizard à Montréal, Québec 710 posts | Yes, Bernard, but even if this is an auto-publish page, I have the option to set my post (the original, a new topic, not a comment) as a "draft", not to be published, like this : ![]() My concern was : when I do so, I do not seem to find a way to publish my post later on. Did I miss it ? |
| Bernard from nearby-an-airport Associate, 6807 posts | At the moment, only associates and editors are allowed to publish draft pages. I suppose that this should be extended to authors as well in sections with option "with_auto_publish". Good suggestion, thank you for it. This has been added to the To-do list. |
