Have to clear temp internet files every time

avatarNixon Roger -- on Dec. 8 2006
There is no tool like an old tool
Problem has been recorded

Issue description

Every time I visit my site wwworkbench.com, I cannot navigate the site by clicking on links until I delete all temporary internet files.  This started last week.  I updated to 6.10 but the problem remains.  I have logged in from 3 different computers with either IE 6 or IE 7 and the problem is the same.  Any ideas?

Update.  This afternoon, the problem seems to have gone away.  I'll post again if the problem returns.

If the problem has disappeared, can you document some change made, either at your workstation or server?

I have made no changes to any of the workstations. The problem is intermittent on my computer at work (IE 7) and on my notebook (IE 7).  My desktop at home (IE 6) requires me to delete the temporary internet files every time I log on.

To check if that come from the management of web cache by YACS, one idea would be to visit the system configuration panel (from the control panel) and to select, in the section related to inbound HTTP parameters, the option:

No cache management. Default settings of the PHP engine apply.

Then save the configuration, purge Internet files from the browsers, and keep us informed of the results...

The problem seems to have been related to some external news feeds I had aggregated.  Once I removed those servers, the problem cleared up on all workstations.  The fact the site would work after clearing the temp files was apparently just  coincidental.
