Problem with section visibility

Underwood Mick -- on Nov. 7 2006
Can't see a section amongst the main sections
Hello

Having floundered around with yacs for a while I finally stunbled on the widget which generates a site. Great stuff. I'm now modifying that generated site to meet my requirements and I'm pretty impressed!

But I do have a problem. I have a theme which shows the sections along the top of the screen as tabs. One of my sections just doesn't show up on the tabs, though I can see it in the site map. When I open it from the site map, it displays just like any other section. Visibility is restricted, but I have applied the same permissions to other sections and they do show up.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thanks

Mick

UPDATE: Actually, I've just realized I must have misunderstood, as I've noticed that other sections (for example, My Wiki) created by the content creation wizard don't show up in the tabs either. I thought it would be sufficient to specify a Parent Level of '- Root Section' for them to show up. Seems I've misunderstood something. Any help would be much appreciated.

UPDATE 2: Now all my sections are visible. Could this be because I've removed some sections - is there a limit on th enumber of tabs that can be displayed?

By default YACS put no more than 5 tabs. This can be changed from the configuration panel for the rendering engine. The number of sections in the menu bar is also the limit used by YACS for other options. I know, this is not evident...
