New Install completed, do not have acccess to control panel. [fixed]

You are not allowed to handle skins of this server.

Is the message I get when Itry to access the control panel. The install appears to have gone ok. I did not close my browser at anytime based on the warning that I was just an 'associate'. I wish to start working with the system, but it appears that I do not have administrator rights. I tried to change a skin and got the above message.

Have you created some account for you during the installation? Are you able to use it to successfully authenticate as an associate at any time?

I would try reinstalling, double check all the files are there as well.

Hi,
it appears that some problem occurs with the messages "You are not allowed to handle skins of this server" see  French forum
http://www.yetanothercommunitysystem.com/yacs/articles/view.php/1917
the found solution is to reinstall YACS after a cleaning.
A BUG, why not? ->several users are "victim" with 6.9 issue.

Dobliu: I cleaned out the old files and proceeded to reinstall. I believe this problem is related to two things. One, being on a server with the install directory nested deeper than root and the machine you are installing from having some enhanced level of security for cookies being enabled. That said, I made sure that my Firefox had an exception for the site to set cookies (in fact, I now think I should enable another exception down to the install directory) before proceeding to install.

Once I ddi this, the install went perfectly. I am enjoying the system immensely. The whole organizatio of the structure seems so much more intuitve that e107 or xoops, both very worhty tools in their own right.

Thank you for your contribution. I am working on setting up the site, once I get there, I will announce on the forum.
