64000 character limit on articles?

Why do I get a pop-up telling me descriptions can't be longer than 64000 characters whenever I paste into the article content box?
Extra credit question: Why isn't there a user manual?

Probably because the field used to store descriptions has a limited size of 64,000 bytes in the database.

YACS warns you, before you attempt to store something in the database, that content would be truncated anyway.

About the user manual:

YACS is changing very rapidly, and in my humble opinion it is more efficient at the moment to let existing resources focus on code development.

Of course a user manual is an important thing and we will have to work on that. Would you be interested to contribute to such a thing?

Well, the 64,000 character barrier has been removed. And the user manual will appear soon... 8)
